At last, I am setting out on my own personal journey of discovery. A new world of communicating that can be very personal, or not, at the same time. Not even Da Vinci could have predicted this turn of events.
What a fascinating medium (?). Is it a medium though or a tool within a medium. And the potential to be able to interact with individuals, to maintain interests and contacts without leaving 'home'. How far we have come from the days of typewriters and using carbon paper backings to create just one extra copy. If I go any further I might give myself away!
I can see a use for a blog in my particular Library activity. The blog could help clients by answering their questions directly and this would then build up to a Q and A type site as many of the questions are similar. New enquirers might not even need to contact the Library after visiting the blog.
I guess if we get too good at anticipating their every need, I may never 'hear' from clients again- just a loud silence...not likely though!
Anyway can't wait until I surprise my daughter on Facebook.
